Years with the program: played 2, coached 4

Evans was born and raised in Vancouver, and went to high school at John Oliver Secondary, where he played 5 years of basketball. He is currently studying communication design at Emily Carr University. He has coached a few seasons of High School Basketball at Vancouver Technical Secondary and John Oliver Secondary.  His first love was basketball, and he feels married to the game.

For Evans, giving back to the community, especially through basketball, is a no-brainer. He loves teaching and playing the game with the kids.  He’s learned that its hard work to manage a team, but that it all pays off at the end when you know that you’ve effected the kids in a positive way through Night Hoops’ implemented workshop program.
