Site:   Champlain Heights Community Centre

Team:   Senior Boys

Years with Nighthoops:   5

Occupation:   IT Department at Canada Revenue Agency

Yash graduated from Langara College’s Computer Information Systems Diploma Program, and his career goal is to work in the RCMP’s Computer Forensics division.  Yash started playing basketball under the tutelage of former Globe Trotter Mel “Tricks” Davis at the age of 6, and started coaching when he was 13.  Yash is also in the movie “Air Bud”.

After a 3 year hiatus from Nighthoops, it was good for Yash to get back into coaching basketball, especially since the players asked him to do it. His favorite thing about the program is that he gets to work with the kids and pass on knowledge and experience while having fun with them.  Yash believes that no matter where a kid is from, if they can relate to you, you can help them.
